Der Einfluss der Produzenten Harry Vanda und George Young, des älteren Bruders von Malcolm und Angus, auf die frühen Jahre von AC/DC mit Bon Scott war enorm. Beide waren in den späten 60ern Mitglieder der einflussreichen australischen Band „The Easybeats“ und wirkten mit ihrer Erfahrung und ihrem Enthusiasmus stark auf die Entwicklung von AC/DC ein. Daher war ihre Rückkehr bei „Blow Up Your Video“ 1988 ein echter Coup. Ihnen ist die Direktheit in Titeln wie „Heatseeker“ und „That's the Way I Wanna Rock & Roll“ zu verdanken. Letzterer geht auf die Einflüsse von Chuck-Berry- und Gene-Vincent-Platten im Hause der Youngs zurück. Die Mischung aus roher, unverfälschter Energie, sauberem Gitarrensound, Brian Johnsons rauer Stimme und den anzüglichen Oden an durchzechte Nächte zeigen, dass die Band nichts zu beweisen, aber viel zu geben hatte.
